Osama recently joined Z&Co, bringing with him years of extensive practical experience in Saudi taxation. His background spans both the public sector—specifically the General Secretariat of Zakat, Tax and Customs Committees (GSTC)—and the private sector, including global Big Four accounting firms such as EY Saudi Arabia and PwC Saudi Arabia.
Osama was also seconded to the United States to work in U.S. taxation at EY’s Washington, D.C. office. At the General Secretariat of Zakat, Tax and Customs Committees, he led indirect tax disputes and resolutions, applying best global practices in tax dispute resolution aimed at efficient adjudication, improved processes, and the implementation of tax systems that enhance taxpayer and investor confidence in the Kingdom. He also provided comprehensive support and consultancy to tax committee members.
Additionally, Osama established the tax department for a major global company recently investing in Saudi Arabia, leading the team to implement best tax practices and ensure full compliance with tax regulations.
During his time at the Big Four firms, he provided a wide range of specialized Zakat and tax services, including consulting, compliance, and litigation support for both local and international companies across various tax domains. He also conducted specialized workshops and contributed to supporting U.S. taxpayers at EY’s U.S. office.
